This a great unit. The construction is very solid, and the mechanical ignition mechanisms work very well. The only reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is the ability to simmer at low heats. There is no question with both burners on high, you get incredible amounts of heat. I boiled a pot of water in a cast iron pan in a couple of minutes at most. However, with just the small inside burner on even on lowest setting, it is still quite warm. It would be difficult to leave a small sauce pot to simmer unattended for very long.
